Saw this on the auction site.
Does Ka-bar put Beckers in blister packs?

Fake or real?
 
That is the real deal. The BP's are generally reserved for government orders, but it is the same product just in a different packaging.

I agree, let the clubbing commence. Yet that is capitalism at its finest. Now they can sell you a variety of tools to help you open the @#$&@*#@ blisterpacks. There is one on the last multitool we bought. My wife and I were joking about how it didn't do any good on the inside of the package. Genius!
 
i've heard blister packing described as "american theft deterrent"

the easy peasy way slow down shop lifting

like to see stats on that :D
 
I don't like it at all. It looks cheap and you loose that great feeling of opening nice box. No personality in blister packs.

I'll agree with that... and- show me a person that saves blister packs so that they can send them along with the knife if they sell it or trade it and I'll show you a crazy person.
 
Nobody said they were switching to these, they're probably just knives sold off as mil surp and they made it to the public market. Honestly, I don't care either way, but the box does make for a very nice presentation when it's being given as a gift.
 
Everybody realizes that it's just the packaging, right? Who cares, open it and throw away the plastic.
