I like Spyderco's, no doubt :)
But as with almost all things you buy, there is always something you would like to see differently.

Here are a few off the things i would like to see changed. relative simple things, but changing them could make these 99% perfect knives 100% perfect. I've posted the origional pic with a second "Red-Line" one for better finding my "Problems" All are thumbnails off course. Sorry for the picture heavy item, but needs to be so for the details.

I think Sal will agree all feedback even "negative" is a positive thing for future products. Mine aren't true negative, rather lookingglass finds that could be a little better with not much work.

The Spyderhole.
Works perfect, but looks verry cheap made when you look at it. The blade is perfectly shiny grind, but the hole is rough.

A small grind here would make a world off difference i believe.

Then the liners/outer shell fit with the inner handle.
It just doesn't fit nicely iff you look at it. Iff they were ground toghether they would be perfect, now there is a small uneven ridge.

Hope you can see what i mean.

Last verry small detail.
The torx screw fit.
The FRN hole is not countersunk correctly and is razor sharp. Smallest toutch-up and perfect.

For the rest, keep 'm comming. Love your knives and the build quality. And i'm going to buy more :) So perhaps this info might help a little for just that finishing touch.

Shaggy8675, while I agree that the things you picture could be better, I feel your expectations are a little unreasonable.

I think you misunderstood me a liitle.
these are not my expectations on spyderco knives. These are things i noticed on a random knife.
After observing them closely i feel that adding some attention to these small points can help to make these knives even more perfect than they already are. Positive critisism ( damn i hope i spel that correctly heeh )

I have absolutly no problem with the way these knives are made. but i do think that everyone who makes a product likes to get feedback on it's products, good or bad. Iff i make an item in my own trade ( dental tecnician ) and a customer, client or more experienced person comes along and has positive critics i always listen to make a good product even better. different people look with different eyes.

Perhaps these things are easy to adjust at there work place, wich would contribute into an even better product. Is that bad? Isn't that the thing we all are looking for?
Is that a strange way to think about it? I don't think so realy.

Iff they say, well. it's just to difficult, to expensieve or time consuming. Fine, no problem at all, because the knives are already made to a verry high standard.

Ahh well. Who knows. maybe i am picky on things, maybe not, who knows :)

Hi Shaggy,

Appreciate the comments, thanx.

Reaming holes on hard steel just adds cost, which raises the price of the knife. We're always trying to balance the cost/value, so sometimes these choices are made.

Fitting tumbled parts and injection molded parts is pretty impossible to get the kind of fit that we can get on a hand finished piece like the
Manix.

On the sharp edge, I'll keep that in mind for the next mold change.

thanx for paying attention and thanx for the kind words..
