This is not a forum to sell your knives. This is a forum to discuss your knives. There are other forums and venues to sell you knives in. People interested in purchasing a knife can watch the various auction, for sale forums, the new classifieds here at bladeforums.com, etc., for themselves. (Hint, if you haven't acquainted yourself with the new classified ads section here at Bladeforums.com, now would be a really good time to do so... wink, wink).
The real problem here is simply that there are on any given day at least a hundred balisongs for sale on the internet. Most of them are pure junk, it's true. But who is to make that judgement? One man's junk is another man's treasure. So, if we allow one or two people to post their balisongs for sale on this forum or promote their auctions or other sales on this forum, then we can expect the great discussion content of this site to be diluted by a flood of "For Sale" and "Check out my auction," "Look at what I just put on the classifieds section," etc., posts.
When interesting things do happen in the market, for example a recent auction in which some fool bid over $100 for a common Jag, it's fine to discuss those activities here. That's discussing balisongs. But, let's just stop the routine "for sale" stuff before it even starts.
I know that some sellers may think they're just trying to help by announcing their sales here and some buyers may appreciate seeing those posts here. That's nice, but, again, where do we draw the line to avoid being "helped" by hundreds of sellers offering us all ilk of made-in-China cheapies? Again, interested buyers can watch the other venues for themselves. (Of course, you can always do what I did: slip Al Gore a sack of money and give the Chinese classified US military balisong secrets in exchange for launching a constellation of balisong detecting and tracking satellites.)

Decisions of the judge are final unless shouted down by an overwhelming majority of the crowd (an important disclaimer when the majority of the crowd are armed).
