I have a bunch of knives i want to sell.. Fully described and they have pics... I have them in the trade section right now... But i know there is less action over their... I cannot determine the value of all of the knives.. As they are older.. and not very common... Can i post them in the for sale section without a price on the whole lot.. And just ask for the buyers to make an offer... It will not be anything like bidding.. But at least they could PM me a reasonable offer...
Thanks
Matt B.

No. This is not an auction site. Post prices.

Matt, the problem is it would still be an auction, but a hidden auction. You would be able to sit back and wait till a higher price came in, without the bidders even knowing how much they had to raise their last offer.

On a legitimate sales post, if a bidder makes you an offer, it's OBO - Or Best Offer. They get to try to lower your price, not raise their own cost.

You have to have some idea of value. Post high. Lower it after a while with no bites.

Esav- That was very helpful , and a perfect explanation why its not allowed... I will just start at what i think is reasonable and work from there....
Thanks
