its on off with rpm tailcap as pictured.. the factory surfire cap twists and clicks. they run a while.. and if you have read any of the flashlight thread,, you know this is the most legit set up.. yeah,, 2 cr123's

Well,I have a fenix L1D Q5
which is a single AA high power light.
when i shined vboth on the wall,it "looked"
like the fenix was as bright or brighter.
Jeremy to me to take it outside...
WOW,what a difference!
My little fenix dies in the distance,this
6P spotlights a few hundred feet away at least!
Now I can see the difference.
The beam pattern is much nicer too.

That is where I really see the difference in these lights, outside, in the distance seems to be the real test.
The other place they show their stuff is in true outside darkness, no ambient light of any kind....street lights, moon, etc.
