Not a big deal but this for sale thread of mine was not over yet. it was at the SOLD PENDING FUNDS stage. It ain't over till it is. If that sale fall through do I have to ask for this to be re-opened or start another thread?

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=458593

It got closed by a mod. Did I do something wrong?

Not a big deal just would like to know the line of thinking behind this action.

Thanks

Read the rules of the forum. No bumping threads more than every 72 hours. That's why your thread was locked.

I did not understand that any thing could be considered a bump. All my posts in that thread were in direct responce to potential buyers. These communication seems to have resulted in a quick sale.

I undertand if you do not have time to do this but could you mention which of my posts you considered a bump?

Thanks!

For clarity: the rules in question:

Bumps or BTT style posts are only allowed once every 72 hours, per thread.
If you bump your thread more than that, it will be locked. New posts listing price changes, new photographs or information, or additional items for sale, answering buyer questions, or listing the item as sold are allowed and do not apply to the "1 Bump every 72 hours" rule. Buyers are encouraged to ask questions, however, For Sale threads are not for product discussions. Take it elsewhere. Do not chat up a thread trying to keep it at the top of the exchange area.

Yeah well "Possibly sold" and "Ok it might be sold" and "Hey it's really almost sold" and then "Sold Pending Funds" is rules lawyering there. Don't bump threads unless you are listing price changes, new photo's / info, adding items, answering questions, or listing the items as sold. If you are going to change "possible" to "SPF", edit the post.

If the deal falls through, respond in 72 hours and we'll unlock the thread. Otherwise, please don't try to look for exceptions to the very clear and easy rules.
