Hey guys hope you are well

I know all you mods are probably quite busy with your own lives as well as moderating this forum. So first of all i thank you for working so hard in your off time by making this forum better.

I just wanted to ask if it isn't to much trouble could you come with some sort of set rule that after a set amount of time the for sale thread is locked or deleted. It's just a few sellers do not update if they have sold the knife, or traded or withdrawn it for some reason and threads that are quite old are opened up by many forumites and myself included. I will try not to do it as much, but what can i say except that a Spyderco Ayoob was listed for $55 bucks and hope is a wonderful thing :D

In the thread to which you refer:http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=321291
The very first post has been edited to say SOLD.

I'm pretty sure a moderator has probably changed it to sold after i posted within the thread, but alas i may be mistaken since it is 3 in the morning :D If you do go back to many for sale threads many of them do not provide the accurate information as to what has happened to their items.

While you may be correct about many other threads, the one in question is time-stamped when it was edited to say SOLD :

Also, and please note that there might be exceptions, but most posts that are over a year old are probably moot.

And lest you think me rude, you have a pleasent evening as well...

May i ask is that feature available for everyone, because i don't believe i can change my starting thread title.

If you look in the Service and Support Section there is a recent thread which explains this. (It seems there is a bug which allows it sometimes and not others.)

When you go back to edit your post, click on "Go Advanced" & that will allow you to edit the title as well.

That will let you change the title of your post, but that doesn't always change the title of the thread. It's a known bug. Who knows when the vBulletin people will fix it.... :(

i was about to suggest more ideas but you moderators have probably thought of them all so why should i waste more of your time. keep up the good work.

take care
