Just got my Blind Horse Necessary Necker. This is a must own knife, for EDC. I have spent the last
two weeks looking for a replacement for my Dozier personal, when it turned up; missing.( It has been
found). I like most of you have two or more knives on me at all times. I remember a story of a king that
always wore a knife. When questioned buy his staff, why he wore a knife at all times, he replied, "you
never know when you will need a good knife". A short time latter, he used that knife to stop a
assassination attempt on him. My main almost always with me knife is my trusted old Spyderco
Military, with the 440V blade. I have carried this knife since it was new, It has always served me ay.
With times like they are now, I do not display it for mere cutting task, like I use to. It is now reserved
for defending against bad things.
So on with this mini review. I have looked at the Bark River PSK heavily for a replacement. I have a
Bark River Tusk, that is my main wood and creek knife, and have always felt more then knifed up with
it. Well push come to shove and I needed to choice a knife. I looked at just about every custom and
production knife made, weeding out the ones that did not fit the criteria. I after talking to L.T. At Blind
Horse Knives, choose there Necessary Necker. After handling the knife today, I know I made the
correct knife, and at 85.00 it islO fold ahead of95 percent of the, knives on my short list. If you give
this knife a try, you should be very pleased with it, I know I will be.
Since I wanted a very discreet EDC knife, I did not want the neck sheath option, I requested a option
change on the sheath, a little communication glitch, cause e to receive a sheath that negates my plan. I
have called L.T. About, he was busy grinding, so I left a message, I have not doubt that the sheath issue
ill be resolved with out issue. By the way, the supplied is top quality and very well made, if I need this
style of sheath, I am sure it would give years of great service.
This knife fits my hand like it was made for it. When selecting small knives, there is always the
chance of it not fitting, or being usable beyond it's size. This is a little knife, that will handle big chores.
When you handle one, you will see what I am talking about. Here are some pictures of the knife. Also
included are pictures of a little kydex sheath I set up cor desert carry, to get me by. Also if you notice
the lanyard set up. It is a little concept I have been playing with for a while. You use your pinky finger
as a anchor for the knife. It allows you to drop the knife, freeing your hands up for a moment, while
keeping the knife handy. Tim
P.S just talked to L.D. And the sheath issue is resolved. So if you buy this knife for belt wear, tell him
you want the Johnston discreet carry sheath.(lol)
