$10 bucks a pound air freight X 473 lbs. makes it $4730 to send it over without packaging. Then there's the $990 cost to purchase. Ought to be able to get them one sent over there for under $6,000

You can have a machine do it for you. Thats real popular these days. CNC machines sharpen most factory knives. But YOU can do it yourself! Just takes a little practice and most people can do nice bevels by hand. Yes witness the kamis. They make it look easy.
