No snow down here, but I will remind friends and family.

Still out working in it, the cold is supposed to get a lot worse this weekend (single digits daytime, negative nighttime and a lot of wind).

Thankfully I should be going on my seasonal layoff at the end of the week, Monday at the latest.

Man... even down here in Georgia it is cold has anything... suppose to get down to a high of 26 and low of 12 this coming week....

I sure don't mean to come off as a stick in the mud, but I thought it was worth mentioning...you are right though, a knife pic would have made it a bit more interesting!

Yep, I'm also in WI. We had a local guy get caught up in the auger of a truck-mounted snowthrower earlier this week. He was 50.

We're getting cold snaps (13), torrential rain with winds (lots of downed trees) and people who just don't understand how to safely have open flames in homes or drive on ice. Seems there are less deaths this time around though. I hope people are learning. I have more people come to me for ideas now, being a "survival type" as they put it.

It's pretty cold-nasty up here right now. Thank goodness for parkas! My biggest safety hazard right now is driving anywhere since I don't have my snow tires on yet. Saturday will take care of that one.
