Here we are.

A bunch of sad, sorry dopes who aren't in Hotlanta.

I've been to the show twice, but couldn't swing it this year. Next year, for sure. (As long as Ren and KenC are there, no fun without them. Plus, I have to see Normark and Dr. Mitch - those sexy boys)

So for us sad sacks, let's have a virtual BladeShow. We'll pretend we're there, give our accounts of everything going on and who we're hanging with..right from our living rooms and our imaginations.

Let's see, right now I'm in my hotel room at the Holiday Inn. I have some roomates but they've haven't arrived yet so I'm not sure who they are. Give me a nudge when you come in. I have room for 2.

I think there's some other folks next door, I can hear a lot of knives flicking open. Who is it?

Let's all go to breakfast tomorrow at the Waffle House by the big chicken. How big of a table should I get? Let me know who's coming and what you're gonna have to eat.

After that we'll all head over to the show and post our adventures. Whee!

The big chicken , thats funny , I just move to Bladelanta and ask for directions and they said to turn left at the big chicken, I was like what the hell is The big chicken but sure enough there it was. :D

I am really not happy that I'm not at Blade, but I do have my memories from past shows as well as some pics.

If I were there right now I'd be still hung over from last night and be wandering around with a big stupid grin on my face. My biggest concern as I walk throught the door, do I go say hello to Kit or Ed first, they're right across the isle from each other? If only that was my biggest problem.

Of course of all the people I'm going to miss seeing this is the person I'm going to miss most of all.

I told Ken that if he sees her at Wild Bill's to tell her I love her and I'll be back there next year to marry her. My wife already gave me permission. ;)

I wish I were there too. Last night I would have had a few drinks sitting on the couch in the pit talking to Phil and anyone else that happened to stop by. :)

Danelle, it's starting to sound like a movie I saw on late night cable :D! I like this Virtual Blade!

Seriously, folks, I'm kind of in a blue funk. I hope to go next year.

I just picked up this little gem at Danelle's Virtual Blade Show. It is made out of REAL metal (except for the plastic handle) and I was able to talk the maker down to only $5.95!

Funny, I'm sharing a room with someone, so might be one of 'em. If I start to snore, just do what my wife does - just snuggle up & hold me close. :)

Which way to Tom Mayo's table?

Hey from Atlanta. Not much going on hear. Thousands of folks, and thousands of knives....boring (NOT). Web guy has been lax in taking pictures and I am not computer savy enough to post them, but maybe we will get him to post some soon.
Off for a steak and a few Sam Adams.....you folks play nicely....
Regards, Mike (on ngk's computer)

Spent all day and didn't get half of the show done. :D

Got a blade from one of the "Boys from Brazil" and a couple of others. Will post pics later if I can get a few good ones.

Just today I was walking by a pond and I saw 4 frogs just lined up right on the bank. If I'd only had that knife...

I'm definitely going to be there next year, even if I have to sell off some organs.

Just got back from a great Thai restaurant with Ren, Sean Shepherd, and his wife Shelly. Hit The Pit around 9:30 and hung out with old friends and made some new ones. So far this has been the best Blade Show I have attend, not so much for all the cools knives, but for the people I'm meeting.

Just got back from dinner at Fogo's...got lost on the way BACK to the Sheraton....no I wasn't driving. The wife and I had dinner with about a dozen other knife freaks...Tom Krein, Dan Koster, hdwrlover and a bunch of other great people.
Wish you guys could be here...It's bigger and better than ever.

Just back home from Blade in Atlanta. You folks REALLY need to make plans for next year. It is an excellent chance to meet some really nice folks.
I spoke with the likes, of Mayo, Viele, Blackwood, Crawford, Warner, & Moran.
Sal from Spyderco, Gary from Al Mar and Les from Benchmade were there as usual as well as the principals from many other major manufacturers. Warning...you might have to deal with the likes of Danbo, Ken and Ren if you show up, but hey, they are famous too!
Early bedtime tonight, as the Pit never seems to sleep...NGK and I were up 'till 3AM or later Thur, Fri and Sat meeting some of the nicest people in the world.
To the folks that came, wasn't it GREAT!? To the folks that missed it....well we missed you too...plan on coming next year.
Regards, Mike
