For those of you planning to attend the 2009 Knifemakers Guild Show in Louisville, KY, the host hotel, the Seelbach Hilton, has a special room rate of $125 for those attending the show. I don't think you will ever stay in a nicer 4-star hotel for that price and they have just finished a complete $12M renovation of the entire hotel and all of the rooms and funishings including 37" high-definition flat screen TVs in every room.

The hotel has 321 rooms but at least 35 of those are suites that are not included in the $125 rate. The response to the show has been terrific so I expect the rooms to sell out early.
You can also print a free show pass at the Knifemakers Guild Website http://www.knifemakersguild.com
I expect this to be an outstanding Guild Show with a big crowd. The more central location has been extremely well received and the tables have already been sold out for months. Guild membership applications and honorary membership is up.
Speaking of the honorary membership, one of the benefits it getting to attend the Thursday night President's Gala. This is a great evening where you can hang out with the knifemakers in a relaxed atmosphere and enjoy some good food, drink and music. There are also some special surprises being planned.
