I went to a party yesterday and spoke with an owner of one of my PSK knives. I was amazed to hear from him that he used it on a big boar last year to skin the beast. He said it performed great. For me this is awesome feedback.

I've never heard anything but good stuff about your products. Bet they work great!!!

I have not skinned any thing with mine yet but just by looking at it I can tell it would do the job.
It's a sharp little sucker and holds the edge pretty good.
I'm well satisfied with it. :)

Here is a couple of pics I took they day it arrived.

I love the simplicity of that blade , often times good things do come in plain packages. :)

What is the steel used on those knives Mr. Grossman ?

rebeltf, they are O1 steel.
whitefoot, how do you like it with the straight handle?

My first custom blade, and what a dandy, this thing behaves like a knife twice the size and came scary sharp with a sweet convex grind.
First rate leather sheath and amazing price. I was extremely pleased with mine.

I like it. :)

Flat, stout, and sharp.

Don't know how the regular model would be but find the straight handle comfortable to my hand.

Been using it some and find that it's very usable with nothing on the handle for everything except hard power cuts,
then a little padding on the handle helps.
This knife will work with nothing on the handle if need be and would lie flat and take up very little room in a Kit.
I'll still put some cordage on the handle tho' :D

That being said, I tried my favorite expedite handle material, automobile red heater hose.
Red not black cause the black turns your hand black.
The handle being 1" wide I find that
3/4" inside diameter hose slips on fairly easily but holds snug.
5/8" would be a better fit but would be harder to get back off.
With the hose on power cuts are no problem but it does make the knife more bulky.

Cut up a tin can just to see and found no damage to the edge.
It cuts, whittles and drills holes.
If this was all I had out in the bush, I think it would serve me well and so I'm glad that I bought it.

Good job Scott. :thumbup::thumbup:

Sounds great whitefoot. Cool idea with the hose material. I did the same thing with a coffee can awhile back, cutting an opening in it to use it for a stove. Cut through the metal coffee can, no edge damage.

Can't say enough good stuff about my PSK knife. I added G10 scales to mine.
