Just to eliminate any doubt about which site is really king of the hill, Mike and I have decided that we're going to show you guys our stats. I've been seeing a lot of trash talk coming from some of the other sites, and I think it's time to put an end to it.

So, without further ado - here is the URL to the traffic reports for BladeForums.com http://www.bladeforums.com/bladestats/

Note - there's no data past April and none of the stat's pages work properly. It's possible that he's implemented a new statistics program, in which case, I'll be more than happy to apologize if he can back up his claims. I just don't see him tripling his traffic in less than 3 months through.

Again, more none working stats pages

This one actually works.

Please keep in mind that like anywhere else, averages are skewed when there is missing information - so the 6 days where the traffic logs weren't working (June 3-4, 10-14) had a major impact on our overall averages for the month. One of you statistic's wizards can probably figure out what the true averages are.

So, when someone makes a claim about just how popular their site is, and how they can help you (or your business), ask them to put their money where their mouth is. Make them justify their advertising charges.

We're not afraid to show you our history. You know our track record - and the numbers speak for themselves.

For that matter, check out the Active Threads for the above sites.

Notice the slight disparity in numbers.

Folks, you all know that we don't need to stroke our ego's, or strut and preen - we concentrate more on providing the best experience out there. The results back us up - More members. More posts. More Manufacturers. More News.

But, every now or then, someone decides that they can best build their business by taking shots at ours. That's their choice - the leopard can't change its' spots. If you are patient enough, you get to see everyone's true colors in the end.

So, in summation, I'd like to thank all 6778 (or more) members who have built BladeForums.com into the undisputed, #1, king of the hill of Knife Discussion. We couldn't have done it without you, so remember - It's all your fault!. So, you might as well take credit for it. You built the community, we just provided the place to do it.
