What purpose does each serve? Do you carry one for utility and one for defense? One for heavy work and one that wont make the sheep run, bleating in terror? One knife and one multi-tool? I always have hte Micra on my keychain. I find the scissors, file and flat phillips very handy. Then I have a cutter. Sometimes a 2 blade trapper, today a plain edge Rescue. There are times I miss the pliers but that Gerber is too heavy. It stays in my bag. Might just have to get a Juice. What is your favorite combo?

My EDC's as of now are an Emerson CQC-7A in my front pocket, and a Gerber 800 Legend multi tool on my belt, along with a Surefire 6-P.

All three of these items are used on a daily basis, and If I don't have them with me (very rare), I miss them.

The Emerson handles most cutting chores, the Gerber is used for the pliers more than anything (loosening small bolts/screws, holding something small, or cutting wire, small rope, ect). I do use the blades on The Gerber if I'm doing any heavy cutting, so I don't ruin the Emerson.

Carry three daily.
Two for defense [ I have two hands and can use both equally well for defensive bladework ].
1. LaGriffe on neck
2. presently is the sypderhawk or Tarani Karambit folder.

The other is for chores.

Multitool has two blades as well but I use it for everything but the blades. Guess I carry 5 blades come to think of it.

Can't have too many knives, just like bullets.;)

On days when I am doing something more serious I am capable of carrying several secreted in places on my bod.

I carry four daily.

Rt Front: Strider Ar

Rt Cargo: Tarani Folding Karambit

Lt Front: TAD/Strider Tactical AR

Lt Cargo: Strider SnG

I use them for just about every thing. It all depend on the task.

I carry a leatherman clipit it clips to my left front pocket.
My EDC varies today I have the CRKT Mirage. Yesterday I had a Salsa and a Spydie Centofonte II. ( sharp little sucker )
Last month I carried the Spyderco Pride and a Uncle Henry stockman a lot...
Weekends if I am doing heavy work I carry a Delica or a heavy CRKT. Sorry I dont remember the name of it, BUT its the heaviest folder I have ever carried. All steel

Randal16-1:

Think you are prepared there sir?

Some serious money in those pockets to say the least. I'll have to assume you are like me in that you are ambi and yank em with both hands.

Learn some espada y daga drills [ doubles ] if you don't know them already and you'll be a hard one to take down for sure.

I like your choices

Two is one and one is none. I carry two...one for myself and one for a "non knife carrying person". Simply put, a "NKCP". At the firehouse if anyone needs a knife for something, they always come to me. What's funny though is that I still get made fun of for having "too many knives".

For the past few months I've been carrying a CS Recon and a LM Wave and today I added the Crunch, I am getting use to it because soon I will be in a far off, hot and sandy place, and this along with a SAK Rucksack is what I plan to have on me.

My EDC:

Spyderco SS SE Police (My defensive/offensive folder.).
Spyderco SS PE Delica (My utility folder.).
SOG Deluxe Pocket PowerPlier.
SOG CrossCut.

Sometimes I carry my Cold Steel Vaquero Grande, and/or my Gerber Yari, (also as "defensive/offensive" knives), along with my Delica and both SOGs.

today:

Spydie Military PE for heavy stuff. had to cut a serpentine belt on a car last week. and possible defense.

SAK Recruit. just for a small blade and a couple of tools. use the tweezers more than anything it seems.

recently:

Case Baby Butterbean. small, easy to carry, sheeple friendly.

medium Douk Douk. solid beater with excellent steel.

Frank, consider a Leatherman Pulse instead of the Juice. It is a tad longer but it's actually lighter than the XE6, and all the tools lock.

I usually have at least three knives on me. Lately, a simple combination of a Victorinox Ranger and a Spyderco Massad Ayoob, and I like to keep a small knife for most routine cutting, especially in public. Darrel Ralph EDC works fine, or a Mnandi, and lately I've been rotating a BM Big Spender and a Spyderco SS Cricket.

But if I go for a walk in the woods, the CQD I and II come along and either the Gerber 800 or SOG Powerlock. Neck knife for sure, generally Busse Assault Shaker.

None of them are for self defense. I have a Canemasters triple grip for that.

lets see... 8 of em and a light... 10 and 2 light sources(ok, 1 just glows) if you count keys...

R/F: Military CE 440V[24/7]
R/F: dropped, stockmans[24/7]
L/F: Endura SE ATS-55
L/F: wallet, spydercard PE
R/Belt: hip: Lumto in cant draw(tip forward, edge down), back: LM Crunch w/ SE blade.
L/Belt: hip: Flashlight of choice, back: BM rescue Hook
R/Back pocket: Alum Salsa CE
Neck: SS 'Fly PE[24/7)

Keys? Buck minitool, Swisstech utilikey, traser glowring, house and car keys.

I use everyone but the keys and card every day. Keys are a case of small cutting while in car(just pop that ring off the 'biener and pass it over), card is a case of "oh &#115hit, forgot my knives when I left the house" as I need my wallet to get anywhere.

Minimum I carry? 4. R/F, L/F, neck, multi.

 Jesus

I carry a BM mini AFCK, soon to be replaced by a small Sebbie, and a custom David Winston key knife on my keychain. That's it.

I've been carrying two on a regular basis as of late. Right front pocket houses a CRKT Mirage and normally around 2 or 4 o'clock rests my CRKT Bear Claw. Mirage for utility, but Bear Claw for defense. Been shopping around for a new folder lately though. Might wait to see if I get this job at the Chesapeake Knife and Tool shop in our mall. ;) Wish me luck. After 3 weeks employees get 40% off! Woo hoo!

I almost always have two knives on me. My general EDCs are a Victorinox Settler and one of my CRK small Senenzas.

For "dress" knives I carry either a CRK Umfaan or a V-nox Secretary. I usually have the Settler tucked away too.

At work I carry the Settler and an A.G. Russell K-93 one hander. I'm willing to loan out the K-93.

For hiking I'll swap out the Settler for a V-nox Harvester. It's carried with a small Sebenza or Buck 560.

When hunting it's the Harvester and a Schrade Sharpfinger.

Sometimes I'll swap the Settler for the Soldier, and I'll be adding an Electrician into the mix sometime in the future.

Like most, I have a decent amount of $$ in my knives, so I like to carry more than one. As Sticknrun said "two is one and one is none",I was on top of a load 2 months ago cutting carpet to pad my tarps. I had the flu and wasnt altogether and dropped my small pocketknife. I finished with my larger EDC and gratefull not to get up and down again.
Current EDC rotation: Buck PCKS Damascus, Large Sebenza
Small Sebenza
Delica
Backups : Shadow III
Buck Vangard Bg42
SAK Dx Tinker
Buck 303 (in pocket)

My EDC includes:

Camillus CUDA Maxx (5-1/2" D2 bowie): This is the knife that I use most often. It handles routine small tasks, like cutting threads, but it also makes kindling, cuts heavy rope, and helps with my yard tasks. Oh, yeah, and this is my primary blade for self-defense. :D

Darrel Ralph Madd Maxx (4" Talonite spearpoint recurve): My weak-hand knife. This is my food knife, since the Talonite blade is unaffected by the various corrosive substances I routinely consume. :) It also serves as a general backup for its larger brother.

SOG PowerLock: These are the best all-purpose pliers I've ever used. It also includes an nice selection of locking tools.

Victorinox SwissChamp XLT: This is my portable tool chest. Anything the PowerLock doesn't do this will. Also, a lot of tasks require paired tools.

The plain knives are carried clipped to opposite pockets. The tools are carried in horizontal belt sheaths.

Sometimes I will carry additional blades or tools either because of special circumstances or just because I can.

Dylan> Fully ambi... born left handed, forced into right throughout school, given choice in grade 7(after 8yrs of getting disciplined if I used my left), didn't get decent left hand usage back till mid grade 9... now, 5yrs later, I can write with it again.

I make use of that. I train with both hands. The only knives not accessable to both hands are the card and stockmans. I do drills of out in 2 - out and back in 5. both right and left at same time, even different sets(ie even lum and 'fly, both rigged for ambi but easier to grab right). I spar with dual knives, just protect the partner from the live edge under all the padding. Been sparing with my buddy for 4yrs now, we've only had blood once.
