Quick question, anyone have a scale and weigh theirs?

I'm wondering how much the new TGLB weighs... specifically the micarta version, if you've got one. Thanks a bunch!

Mine is G10. I can accurately weigh it tonight if you don't mind waiting.

That sounds good. If you could, please just post it here for all to see. I imagine the difference between micarta and G-10 isn't much, an 1 or 2 oz at the most would be my guess.

NP, will do. I need to weigh my Battle Guard for the master weight/specs thread anyway.

Bothof my TG's are grey blade/black canvas micarta handles.

TGLB = 15.80 ozs.

TG = 19.75 ozs.

I hope that helps!

They were weighed on my Harbor Freight digital scale.;):thumbup:

Is there any real noticeable difference between the 2 on how they feel. One of the things I like about the original TG is it's said to be a little hefty and I've been a tad worried the TGLB would feel too light.

I definitely prefer the lighter feel of the TGLB. This could make a BIG difference if you carry it for an extended period, such as hiking. I first though the original Team Gemini might be a good replacement for a Kabar for the troops, but I think that it is too heavy. Anyone who ever carried a pack and loaded down with ammo can appreciate that!;)

Thanks. While I personally like hefty knives, I can see why many especially those who are lugging around other heavy gear would prefer a lighter knife. Actually I think my friend's Cold Steel Recon Scout weighs about the same as the TGLB so at least I know it's not a featherweight.

There is only one ounce of difference. If you are already humping 60+ pounds of gear, could you even notice taking off one ounce? You carry more than that in your bladder.

If you are a troop humping a weapon, ammo, pack, and other gear..YES..every single ounce makes a difference!!!:cool: Even though it has been over forty years for me, a pack cutting into your shoulders while humping a ton of crap is something you NEVER forget! If you doubt me, just ask those troops who are/were in Afghanistan or Iraq.;)

My Jungle Green with green/black G10 TGLB weighs 498g (17.57oz).
