First Post.....so first of all I'd like to say Hello!

I have kind of a complaint but more of a question for TJT...

I was in the Loveland Jax Store and wanted to purchase this knife:
Boker Copperliner Jigged Red Bone Handle 2.7" Stainless Steel Blade
Part Number: BO4611

When I opened the box to inspect the actual knife I was going to buy, in the store, the liner lock did not engage. It seemed to be too long and wouldn't move over to support the blade. So I asked to see another. Same thing with it and then the next. The clerk said 'must be a bad batch?'
I ended up buying the display because it was the one one that worked properly.

I played with it for a bit, opening it up a few times with the thumb stud, and now it binds really bad when the blade moves from the open to closed position. I plan on returning it tomorrow.

Have you encountered this before with this model? This would be my 3rd Boker knife and the other two models have been great. This one is disappointing.

Thanks. LouieLouieLouie

I have also encountered the exact same situation,I ordered a Boker T4 but instead was shipped a Boker Action 2.The liner on the knife was too long and had no contact with the blade's tang. The only thing that had contact was the Ball bearing.

It couldn't possibly lock the blade open. The lightest spine tap would close the blade.I just couldn't believe it.

Anyway, since I was shipped the wrong knife,I returned it and was finally sent the right one.

No, I have never experienced this particular problem before.
I just went and tested a few, and I got 2 proper, and 1 bad. If Jax won't take care of it for you, send it to me, and I'll get you squared away.
Sorry for the problem, and inconvenience. And thank you for alerting me to a problem. We will start taking care of it from our end.
Terry
