here is a really stupid question for anybody who can answer it.

What is the purpose of liners in between the handle material and the tang?
Is the a difference in the color of the liners besides looks?

In my opinion, it`s just for looks, kind of a contrast of colors. The one I like best is the maroon micarta with yellow liners I did for udtjim.
