As some of you know, I sell some stuff online. I have a bunch now, too much to sell one by one so sometimes I'll take cheaper things and sell as a lot to save time and give someone a good deal. I sold a group of hatchet and hammer heads.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-lot...A-/251976276662?ssPageName=ADME:X:AAQ:US:1123

After the auction ended, I received no payment and no communications until 7 full days had passed. Then, I received this message-
"I'd like for you to mail these to me in this type of an envelope: $6.10 Priority Mail™ Padded Flat Rate Envelope 12-1/2" x 9-1/2" (Copied from the USPS website) You'll have to order these off line, they come in packs/bundles of 10, and they're free. I dare say if you "double bag"/envelope these, they'll be good to go. Just put these in one envelope, then put that envelope inside the shipping envelope. Once I'm in receipt of the amended, new & updated envelope, I'll remit payment promptly.Thanx in advance. :) Your quick & speedy response & reply will be greatly appreciated as well as anticipated.

No question was sent to me as he was bidding, this was communication number one. My response-
"Im sorry, nothing ships until payment is received. This is how it always works for anything sold on eBay, and it was the n the payment terms described as part if the auction. EBay also sent you more than one notice that your payment was required. Submit payment and I will ship immediately in the method described in the auction. Thank you."

His immediate response back to me-
"I'm NOT asking you to ship ANYTHING BEFORE payment is made, OR RECEIVED. I'm mealy AND basically asking you if you could AND IF you WOULD PLEASE ship them to me in the envelope, AND THEN, AND NLY then, ONCE AND AFTER YOU SUBMITTED AN AMENDED, NEW AND UPDATED INVOICE REFLECTING the PRICE DIFFERENCE for the NEW shipping fee, THAT'S WHEN I WOULD REMIT payment to you!!! NOT AFTER you shipped the payment, stupid ignorant individual.
IF you're NOT going to ship these in the aforementioned envelope, then I'll kindly, nicely, politely quietly & respectfully ask that you cancel the order, OR submit a request to cancel the transaction.
Thanx in advance. :) Your prompt & quick response & reply will be greatly appreciated as well as anticipated.

I'm not even sure what to say. Of course, I'm cancelling the order. If he had asked ahead of time or asked like a normal person I may have accommodated him. But I'll scrap these things before I cooperate with this guy now. Where do these people come from? I'm picturing an angry old man that fights with everyone and just found eBay.

hahaha oh boy... tells you to shove off at the beginning then says he will be polite... oh the irony, it hurts!

Any way it ends you'll end up with no money from that scammer and a bad ebay rating from him.

Sorry.

I've just had a couple bad experiences, too. Thankfully most are still good.

I had a guy win one of my bow staves and then never sent the payment. I sent him several messages and got no reply. I messaged the next lowest bidder and sold it to him. Only lost $1. The funny thing is the deadbeat that didn't pay happens to live in a tourist town where my parents have a time share. I thought about knocking on his door next time I'm there and asking him what's up.

Hope your deal works out for the best. You should be able to file a complaint.

I've only had one high bidder not come through. A $71 item ended up shipping out for $66. C'est la vie.

At least that one was sorted out, in advance. Hey bud the Chinese dry cleaner around the corner from me has a very simple policy: "No tickee no laundry".

It was a $15 sale for maybe $5-6 worth of stuff, I don't care about that. Happily, no bad feedback was left, and I got a note from eBay that the transaction is void as the buyer is no longer registered on eBay. More of a head shaker than anything else. And amusing.

C'est la vie.
English has lots to thank for by willingly embracing and being enriched by phrases from other cultures. 'Joie de vivre' (joy of living/love of life?) is another and is so good that it has never been translated.

Yikes. Sounds like maybe a few screws are loose on the other end. Flaky for sure.

Oh, and what user name do you use for your auction sales?

I dare say if you "double bag"/envelope these, they'll be good to go.

He might dare to say that, but he'd likely be wrong. I've taken a rather hard line with buyers before: I pack VERY well and my ratings reflect that. Things that are heavy or fragile (and some are both) are hard to pack but I can make them survive treatment by the gorillas they hire at UPS. Haven't sold anything for a while, but usually I say something along the lines of "items will be packed to withstand postal mishandling. Packing and shipping costs will be paid by the buyer. Good packing is not cheap and I will not compromise to save you a few dollars, only to have you complain that it arrived broken and you want your money back."

At least you don't have to deal with Albert any more.
