Hey all
First post here. I've been collecting knives for a small while now and have amassed a small collection of about 5 knives. I've gotten my first SOG knife the SOG Snarl about a week ago and I was wondering if I can force a patina on it. Im looking for a dark/black fisnish on it. I saw on a spyderco forum someone was saying to use ferric acid to patina it. From my understanding 9CR18MOV is a high carbon stainless steel and doesn't take to patinas well. If anybody has tips on how to force a patina onto it I would be greatly appreciative.
