What I know is that its an unknown spring steel. But only that information I have.it will be more helpful if you post the specs of the knife, some steels cant take a patina, some can etc
Those look like remnants of the hand forging process. Someone could possibly fake that, but I wouldn't call it a patina.
Patina do tell the blade have gone through a lot though. I think of not forcing patina on it. Let nature handleNo need to force the patina, if you use it the patina will come
When I bought it, it was covered in black deep red "rust";I think its the heat treatment and I had to sand it with sandpaper to unearthed the forging marks.
