Forced a patina on some knives today

I've seen people do this so I decided to. First my Case Sodbuster Jr in CV. I stabbed it into an apple and let it sit for 3 hours, then stabbed it into a peach and let it sit for 1.5 hours.

Next, a Boker Large Stockman. On this one I used a Q tip to appy mustard in stripes and let it sit for 30 mins. I am very satisfied with how this one came out.
 
Very cool. The mustard Boker looks really nice. Try applying a couple coats of wax and then buff. Really brings out the color and leaves a nice satin sheen.
 
This is my Opinel after 12 hours in Coca-Cola (phosphoric acid did the job). Very strong black coating which is very hard to remove.

Wrapped in a twisted paper towel soaked in vinegar for about 30 minutes.
