Just finished up forcing patina on my gec 72, really liking how it came out. I have been carrying my traditionals more and this one is becoming my favorite.

Nice. Now, use the knife over and over again and it'll look different. The beauty of carbon steel!

nicely done, i used my 72 in green micarta to cut up a pineapple, while i was cutting i could smell the iron coming from the knife, when i was done the blade was black in a charcoal sort of way. looks good though. usually i just wipe clean with rubbing alcohol then stick it in a potato overnight, gives it a great random marbling effect

Rhubarb season is coming up (he says before the snowstorm/mixed precipitation tomorrow). For me that's when a user really becomes a user!

Pizza and salad with honey mustard is my starter patina of choice. . has to be deep dish with lots of sauce

Thanks, I used a potato and apple. I am doing my beer scout next.
