Back around Christmas i finally pulled the trigger and got a bk5. I loved it from the first time i picked it up and I'm now dropping hints for a 9 for my birthday. I had some free time at work this week and found some paint and gasket stripper laying around the shop. I didn't want it to go to waste so i stripped the 5. While waiting for itvto work it's magic on the coating i found a old white dvd case with no disc so i made some liners. Now im trying to decide between a forced patina or doing an acid wash with some sort of pattern. So...i figured who better to ask advice from then the becker heads. As always thanks for any advice or tips guys.

I haven't done much with the acid besides etching the logos. One thing I have found is just wiping it with the acid on a paper towel makes a real fast dark patina that has a flat finish. I want to do some more etching in the future.

Well guys...went with a mix of apple vinager abd Worcestershire sauce in a paper towel and wraped in twine for 4 hours. I like it but will ve using it for kitchen work also so it should keep going. Can't wait to see what else turns up in patterens and colors.
