Forever Flag Color?

I have been on the list for a Forever Flag since they were 1st announced. Should be very soon!
They did a run of 6 that had some color on the flag, looks anodized. Anybody add any color to their knife.
Would paint work? Seems like it would be brighter. This is a user for me and I'd like it to flag to really POP!
Any ideas?
