Grainger has electric blowers that should work. Quite a few people have rigged blowers from dryers or car heater fans.

You use a blower for crack? Most folks I know use torches. I'd lay off of that stuff, I hear it's bad for you. :>

Anything that moves air faster than it usually does will work. Hairdryer, vacuumcleaner, a fan ,a conical pipe and a lot of duct tape.... Even your breath would do if you blow hard enough.

I used a hair dryer for my first forge, but I wouldn't reccamend it. I don't know how well it would work for coal, but when I used it for charcoal it really didn't pump out the volume that I needed for the more interesting applications unless it was turned up to high, and it could only maintain that for a few minutes before overheating. It might have just been the cheap hairdryer that I was using, but a friend of mine that used to be a hairdresser said that that was a trait among most of the hairdryers that she's used. A good squirrel cage fan works much better.
