forge burner tube

Hey guys I am almost done with my forge body. I'm using a burner design using 3/4 pipe for the body. I've ordered a SS burner flare from hightemptools. What size burner tube is used to hold the burner in place? I'm unsure of the outside diameter of the flare. Thanks for any advice.

It would be best to wait for the flare and make sure, but most folks use a 1" to 1.25" ID tube for the burner mount. Drill and tap three holes at 120 degree intervals to lock in the burner.

When the burner is installed and adjusted so the forge is running good, you can pack the space between the burner and mounting tube with some ins-wool ... or leave it with the air space.
