Hi A friend of mine who owns a foundry is helping me build a larger forge currently I am using Wayne Goddards one brick. I have the generl design down but need more details on the valves. Anyone know where I can find a good set of plans.

It's all here somewhere if you do a search. The exact system depends on what type of burner you are using. Try Don Foggs site for a design with blower burners, and try Porter's book or Rheil's site for aspirated burners.

I just put together a tutorial on build a forge and have a parts listing on the plumbing. I have the part numbers for regulator and valve. Darren Ellis will have it on his site.
This is part of it. Have plenty of pics too.

This is basically what I like to use for my welding forge. Forge body at least 8” diameter pipe 14” to 18” long. The best use I found for railroad spikes are for the legs on the forge.
I start by welding the legs on the body. Next is to cut a 2” piece of black pipe 4” long and cut on an angle to match the curvature of the body also drill a hole to hold a 3/8” bolt for the set screw to hold burner. I just weld a 3/8” nut to the pipe. The placement of the burner should be 1” to 2” off center and at a 10 O’clock position (see attachment1) Place the angled end to the forge body and trace around it and cut it out with a torch.
Forge body is lined with 1” thick Inswool coated with ITC100. The floor I put in the ½ brick firebricks one of them must be cut to size. I also fill in the gap between the brick and wool with kitty litter then coat it with Satanite. I have yet to eat through a brick with the flux.
The burner consist of 1 ½” black pipe see below for listing and attachment 1. I drill a ½” oversize hole in the 90 degree elbow to fit the ¼ npt pipe. The pipe is welded into place. The cap is drilled with a 1/8” hole in the center and applied to pipe. The injector hole will vary depending on your altitude. The coupling must have the outside diameter ground small to accommodate the blower.
Gas line consists of regulator with gauge, needle valve, ball valve, male fitting into tank and quick connects. I use quick connects with Oring seals in them. The way I plumb it is in the following manner. Male fitting into tank, ball valve, regulator, needle valve, hose and quick connect. I use a ball valve is case I must shutoff the gas quickly and the quick connects so the gas setup can be remove and used on another forge.
