Hey Roy, those burners do work well don't they. 5160 forges easily and is very forgiving, 1084 works well also. Have fun.

Cool!

I was surprised how easy the Reil burner is to make.

I really have the bug for forging and have everything I need (but time.)

I was wondering if anyone had feedback about using this burner in a clay-ash forge? Can you get welding temps?

Also, what pressure are you running your burner at? I'm using 3-5 psi for just stage one heat treat (quench before temper.)
