I have several larger knives im working on, but needed a break from them, and decided to make a few small ones up, here's the first one finished.
Specs are
Blade-1090, forged down from 5/8'' round stock.
Grind - full flat grind with a distal taper , leaving a very fine precision tip, and a slight taper in the tang.
Heat treat-clay quenched in my own brew, then tempered 3x's.
Handle- is stabilized, figured,red wood,which is contoured with a nice palm swell, and a little bit of a flare to the butt. The pins are hand peened 1/8'' nickle silver.
Finish-etched to reveal a simple hamon, then buffed of to a satin finish.
Dimensions-8 18'' o.a., 3 3/8'' cutting edge, and the blade is 3/4'' @ choil.
Cutting edge------>
thanks for looking
