This is a knife that I forged at the Trackrock Hammer-in. It has a 5.25” blade of 1084 steel that is differentially heat treated. The handle is sambar stag with nickel silver guard and spacers. Plans are for it to be on our table at the Blade Show.

Classic. No matter how many knives I look at, that style is always my favorite. You won't have any trouble selling that!

All the pieces came together to make a stunning knife

That is just one very nice looking knife, there will be a happy owner during the show I bet.

Thanks guys. The forged blades are the fun ones to me. I don't get a chance to make very many, but I really enjoy it when I do.

There will be a sheath that goes with it. We have some other knives that are in line ahead of this one that I have to make sheaths for first, then I'll make one for this one.

I always want to know if the knifemaker is also a sheath maker. They are two totally different skills, and I am impressed by people that can do both well.

Keith we make all our sheaths in our own shop. About the only thing we will back off of is a carved leather sheath. It has just been to long since either of us has done any of that kind of work to attempt it with any hope of success without some serious practice. Sandy does a fantastic job of carving leather and we would definately seek his help if a customer wanted a sheath with that option.

Just about any man I know would be proud to have a knife and sheath like that, I would

Thanks SpearZ. I probably should have waited to post a picture until I could include both knife and sheath.
