Forged EDC Knife

i've been working on a chef's knife for a buddy of mine, but it's not quite done yet (i'll post pics when it gets closer to being finished). i'm waiting on a new sanding belt to come in so i started on another knife. i wanted something tough but smaller for an EDC fixed blade knife. here's what i've got so far. it's made from a piece of leaf spring. it's not as pretty as most of the stuff posted on here, but since i'm still new to blacksmithing/knifemaking i'm just looking for form over function.

i need to work on the edge bevel a little bit, heat treat and sharpen it but i should be done tomorrow night.
 
I like it!
Will you keep the handle as it is? (I'd like that with a lanyard hole)
 
thanks guys! i'm not sure what i'm going to do with the handle yet. i heat treated it tonight and i'll come up with something before next week. i was thinking about making a lanyard hole and maybe putting some thin slab grips. or maybe i will just use some spray-on bed liner.
