I can't say this is a recycled blade because the file was brand new.
Made from Bongossi iron wood, copper, bamboo and water buffalo leather.
A close up shot from the blade shows real nice a wootz-like pattern of the matrix and the carbides
which is much appreciated.
The performance of blades made from file steels is always a real joy.

Cheers

stevewest, jfk1110 and lukusamongus, thanks guys, much appreciated!
The palm wood handle is cool. Did you dye it? Asking because I've only seen tan palm wood.
It is African Bongossi Ironwood from the 50's and it has its original undyed colors. It looks a little bit like palm wood but here in Thailand palm wood is
considered inferior wood because it does not have permanently good properties.
It is rapidly consumed by insects, mold and quickly leaches out especially in environments with high humidity.
