This is one I finished this morning, forged from 1/8" O1 steel.

8 1/4" overall
4 1/8" blade
1/8" O1 steel
Oak handles with brass pins

Asking $143 shipped with no sheath. USA sales only.

That looks awesome John! Hard to believe that is only your second knife.

Jeff

That's a very nice interpretation of the Green River. How much to add a leather belt sheath?

I'm going to leave this here until Sunday to give the regulars first chance, then post it in the exchange.

Another great forged JK.
How do you like forging? And how does your satisfaction compare between this and your standard knife making?

Forging is more fun. Both are satisfying, in different ways. When I do stock removal I can get what I consider more modern designs, when forging it's more traditional designs. I don't plan on taking orders for forged knives, I prefer to just "do my own thing" while forging. If I find that the forged knives I make don't catch on, I will walk away from forging.

I like the looks of this one a lot better than the skinner from earlier in the week.
nicely done.
best of luck on fishiker making a quick purchase!

I'm going to move this to the exchange this morning to catch the weekend traffic there.

Moved this to the exchange, let's see how it goes. Also posted pics in the Outdoor Gear forum.

Great looking knife John! Way over budget for JK knives for 1st QTR CY16 but I'll be watching the output of your forging.
