Quite a while back I got the idea for a knife based off of my Forged in Fire episode. I used some W2 from my fellow competitor Rob Singleton. I was able to get a white oak whiskey barrel lid from Linda Hibben, the legendary Gil Hibben’s wife. I also had parts of the busted Qinglong Ji from Michael Kerley.

The final outcome was this Bowie, featuring a hamon, the barrel wood, and a Damascus guard that includes Mike’s busted spear. I have a stand in mind that will have more barrel wood and some forged parts.

This one will be available at the ICCE show in Fort Worth at the end of March.

Man, great job!!! Love a great Bowie/Fighter like that....

Great job on the knives. And Gil and Linda are absolutely great. Gil has an amazing list of accomplishments, from a huge group of collectors to being in so many movies/shows, and even having some of his knives and designs trademarked and/or patented. Yet they're happy to help others out. Nice work!

Sam:thumbsup:
