Here's my latest peice. Its my first forged knife. Hammered it out on a peice of railroad track, heating it in my homemade forge (lucky I survived :D )
Pretty fun project, I think I'm gonna be workin with the hot stuff more often now
Forged out of a peice of 5/8" O1 drill rod (roundstock)
8" OAL, 3.5" blade thats just over 1/8" thick.
Scales are Padauk finished with danish oil.

Thanks for lookin, let me know what you think :)

Matt, great job. The knife has a lot of character and a very useful blade shape.

;) Matt well done!

Nice clean lines, make a great user.

Sheath?

Mitch

Thanks alot guys :)
Haven't decided on a sheath yet. Might stick this one with my carving tools, or I might carry it some. Probably won't do anything in the way of a sheath until I get caught up on knives, and a few other projects I've got going right now.
I have to sharpen it up and try it out, but I think I got the heat treat pretty good on this one. Dropped it while I was finishing it and it landed point first on concrete  Didn't so much as curl the tip
