Just as the previous poster, I'm not a fan of Gut Hooks however yours looks to be very well done. The sheath seems very nice as well.
As you asked for comments, I will say that the first thing which draws my eye (at least after the hook) is your mark.
For what it's worth, I prefer maker's marks to be more subtle thus being recognized secondarily to the knife.

I am working on this kevin, you had mentioned this to me one time before. I plan on a much smaller mark and my name spelled out not just initials. Just like my signature.

Thanks

I like it, a lot. I find a well done gut hook to be quite functional in the field. I'd love to give this one a try, nice work.

Very nice Scott! I really like the Spanish notch, the curly maple and the sheath too!

What, no wire work!!!

Sorry SR for being repetitive. Didn't remember I had mentioned it before.

Thanks Steve. The price point of this knife did not justify any wire inlay. I'm doing a couple for a small show in the fall that will have some silver in them.

Don't apologize Kevin. My wife tells me all the time she has to tell me tongs 2 & 3 times before it sinks in.

All this.
However, that is just personal preference for me.

But the gut hook skillfully placed on the integral platform like you have...man, that is just outstanding
