Actually, you know what I'd do? I'd blue or brown it...

I really like it, it's clean and simple.

where can i get solutions? (i have no experience with either)
and actually....i was talking about the handle (should have been more spesific)
thanks

Hi Chris, nice design.Looks quite light.I like the looks of the brass in front of the nickle. Is brass/nickle and tang soldered as one? I have a couple blades on the bench that I have considered something similar. Now I'll be a coppier!

My preference would be for more of a satin finish on the handle. The thing I'm not sure about is the guard. I don't think it is too large, but it might look better with a slightly rounded top and bottom edge, or a bullnose edge.

hey thanks for all of the comments
brass is in front of a piece of O1 steel...and they are welded together yes.
the knife actually has a very nice heft to it, and it fits very well in the hand...but i understand what you are saying about the gaurd...it was a first time attempt at a knife like this...you win some...and some you have to keep on trying.
thanks Bigjohn....no i havent gotten in touch with Jim yet...still working almost 50 hours a week...then i get home and work on knives for an hour or so...
any guess on how much i should ask for something like this?

thanks
~Chris

I personally would like this knife better if it was MINE! I like it - it's got clean lines, and it's simplicity speaks for itself. It's "elegant". If you change anything, you might consider putting some kind of wrap on the handle, or follow madcap's suggestion and blue the blade. Whatever you do to it, I'd keep it basic and simple, because that is one nice looking knife as-is.

i am amking a bamboo sheath for the knife this afternoon...and by thisevening i should have the knife up for sale.
i am looking into blueing blades.
thanks for the feedback
