I got some W1 roundbar and recently forged it into this knife. Maybe it is because forging is new and fun for me, but I love the look of a forged finish with nicely sanded bevels. So, that is what I have here.

The handle is ironwood with micarta bolsters.
I captured a nice hamon on this one, as seems to be the norm with the W1 I have been using.

I still have to put some leather on it, I am working on that tonight.

Beautiful knife!!! Love the hamon, Im trying hard to get that out of my w1 but Im having problems:confused:, Your knives always look great,Charlie

Thanks, Yep W1 from fastenal. And as far as the hamon goes, it took a bit of trial and error, and I still feel like I have a long, long way to go. I look at some of Don Hanson's knives and Matt Lamey's knives and I think that they must be painting the hamons on with krylon because they are so bold. It makes me realize that as much as you learn about knifemaking, there is still more to know.

Thanks everyone,
The blade is 4 1/2" long and it is 9 1/2" overall.

I am working on a nicely tooled leather sheath for this one also.

Wow! What a cool piece. Somehow you made mosaic pins, hamon, forged finish, micarta, wood, and filework... work together great job!
