Okay.. we know the acies is a good knife, but what about this knife? Seems like a really price for the knife that you get?
Does anyone have one? Please tell us about it!

It looks like a smaller version of the knives Camillus made along the lines of Darrel Ralph's Madd Maxx. I would think it's easily worth the money.

It's the spearpoint folding Sting and it's a great knife for the price. 154-CM steel and thick Ti scales. The thumbstuds aren't really thumbstuds so to speak. They act as the bladestop and that's the limit of their use. The knife will flip open with a bit of wrist action, but it's not really a flipper in the traditional sense of the word with super fast flipping action. If you were to flip the clip for tip up carry you could wave the knife open easily. It's kind of a small knife though with a 3" blade and a handle that isn't exactly palm filling.

Why is it just a great knife "for the price"? Most knives like this would easily sell for $200 and have an MSRP of $250 or higher.
I'm asking myself, why is this knife so cheap?

If I remember correctly, it was made by Camillus, a company that no longer exists. But not sure if that has anything to do with anything?

There are actually two on the site, one is the folding Sting and the other (shown in the OP) looks similar but has a lower price.

This is the folding Sting:

Well there's the Folding Sting that has the double grind and then there's the Spearpoint Folding Sting that has the flat grind. At least that's what they told me when I ordered it.

These aren't produced in the USA. AG decided to outsource the manufacture of these knives and it saved a bundle on the cost. The materials are great, but the fit and finish leaves something to be desired. If you check out AG's Seconds section he has these even cheaper. That's how I got mine. :D

That is a cool knife, I guess I never really paid attention to it before, as it's not my style. I assumed it was made in China or something because of the price. $99 with 154CM steel seems like a great price. I wonder who makes it for them? I would have guessed Camillus, (mostly because of the pivot style) but if they're still being made, somebody else has to be doing it for them. Rowen maybe? I don't think A.G. is making those in house, they predate his new shop.

Interesting. How is it held together? I can only see the pivot screw and a small screw at the butt- is it machined out of a single piece of titanium?

A.G. is usually very forthcoming about where his knives are made, if he says "made in the USA", I believe him. Maybe they're "new, old stock" from Camillus?

i had one of those a few years ago. great knife, well made, great lockup & centered blade, very similar hardware to camillus dominator,i sold it only because it was too small for me.
