Decided that the forged blade is just not worth the trouble. All that heating and beating is for the younger , healthier guys.

Carbon steel had lost it's alure for me also.It always rusts and isnt all that pretty anyway.

So , I'm going to start working with the new CPM steels and just grind them. I've also decided to give up on the traditional designs and get into riding the tacticle wave of knife design.

If anyone wants to buy my forging equipment. Shoot me an e-mail.

It is April 1st. If you still say it tomorrow, I'll believe it.

You mean fire up the Focus? :D

HeHe...I got a reprieve until April 20 because the parts did not come in. Looks like I will be going to the Wolverine show in the Focus instead of the Badger show. :)

I hope you got about 1000 e-mails from that backfire :D

Crap Mark, I almost had a heart attack and fell out of my chair here. You know us folks who are full time in the shop don't look at the calender or know what day of the week it is....don't do that!

I'll keep forging till my arm falls off. When it does fall off I'll get me one of those robotic forging arms installed on my shoulder :)

You had me going a bit there, Mark-o me-bucko!

'member last year when I was all up in arms about my bad shoulder and stopped forging? I was goign to sympathize with you, and you were playing a joke on us... bastid!

Good job! :D

Owweee!
Gotta move faster Bro!
Remember - Everything is either hot, sharp or both!
Hope there's on lasting damage. My "hot" scar on my forearm is gone completely from last year's Trackrock. You may get lucky.
My arm's got the "sweet ache" form forging all afternoon! First time in over a week due to a cold and crappy weather.
Shane, that green goo still on the market? Sounds like a good thing to have in the shop.
