Nova - Public television is -has been airing a one hour show called "Secrets of the Samurai Sword."
The show walks you through the construction of a sword both from a historical and a scientific perspective .
As a sword is being forged a technical analysis of the process is offered by a Materials Scientist from Lehigh University.
The forging process is clearly shown and explained in HD. The show is highly informative and well done and for me answered clearly some of the questions that I have had about the forging process.
I've recorded the show and will watch it again. I'm sure that with a little initiative you could find the program and or purchase a copy of the show.
