It has been 3 weeks since my last Becker purchase, a BK14 for my son's 12th birthday. In a moment of weakness, I purchased an Ontario RAT Model 1 from my local knife shop. I had tried to not be tempted by it's low price and amazing build quality, but alas, the devil (his name is Rich and he is a helluva guy) swayed me with an offer I couldn't refuse. $35 bucks for, what I feel, to be equivalent in build quality to my CRKT M14-04Z, is a great deal. It came hair popping scary sharp out of the box and being it is AUS8, I know it will hold an edge for a decent amount of time and can be sharpened quite easily.

For penance, I will start with 10 batonings and 15 feather sticks with my BK7.
