  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

I usually carry a 3" or 4" fixed blade and a SAK on hikes, but when I'm hunting fatwood or just feeling froggy, I like to carry my BK7. It has always been my go to camp knife. It's well balanced, chops exceedingly well, and it’s comfortable enough to carry.

But then it happened. You know how it begins, a chance encounter. You flirt innocently. You start finding ways to see each other more often and then the next thing you know....BOOM. You're taking a Ka-Bar Potbelly with you every time you go out in to the bush. I'm sorry Ethan. It just happened, I swear. I'm so ashamed, but I can't help it. I love this knife.

I did have my BK14 in my back pocket, but I know that doesn’t make it right.

I'll post pics from the hike over in WS&S, but it was a good day in the woods. I hit pay dirt in fatwood.....

How are the handles on that thing? They've always looked sort of flimsy to me, though I've never held the knife before.

They feel like textured zytel. They look soft but they are a hard composite. Believe me there's nothing flimsy about this knife. It's a beast.

I dig that blade finish

Thanks bud. It's stripped with a hard earned patina.

You just have to say 10 Hail Mooses...You're lucky its a Kabar/JAB, which is approved. Otherwise, you'd have to do 20 Hail Mooses and cut your own balls off.

Son, do you have enough fatwood for the whole class? No...then spit it out and hold out your knuckles cuz they're gonna get a beating.

yeah, you should apologize to the rest of us too, for showing us your Johnson.

Tho, confessionally, I'd like to hold one sometime.

I don’t even know how to respond to that.:D

You are one handful of fatwood away from an episode of "Hoarders".

What’s really bad is that I actually had twice what’s pictured. I gave a lot of it away. I have an unhealthy addiction to the smell of Pine Sol.

Nice pics bud. I like what you did to the PB . And that fat wood is awesome. Thanks agian , i used some of it yesterday .

Thanks brother. Just a strip job and some thin orange kydex liners. Really makes the grip feel bigger, I’m digging it. Did you get in some woods time? I'll send you some more with the next box. ;)

I got to get out at work a bit . Did some fishing and made a quick brew using the fat wood you sent to get her going. Then back to the grind. Its nice being able to get out even if it is at work. Thanks again bud it is much appreciated. I got some pics to show you , I'll get em out asap have fun on your outing this weekend .

Haha, I get the joke, but watch out. That site redirects to something else. Something likely encrusted with mal-ware.
