Forgive the repeat, but no one online seems to carry the VG-10 version of the Progrip Lite.... any word when these will start to be shipped?

Yeah. I'm thinking of buying one. I didn't know there was a new version coming out.
What about the clip. Will it be integral plastic/FRN, or a separate metal one?
The steel-framed Progrip is too heavy for my liking.

I like the general shape of the Progrip. I don't like the consideable hump on the spine near the tip. That hump put me off from buying one, but I realized I could grind down the hump, making the blade pattern somewhat similar to the Herbst folder.

So, when is the new version going to be available?

To be honest,I'm also looking at the Junglee Tri Point... consider, both are approximately the same size, Junglee is no slouch in the steel department, has AUS-10 steel, also rubber inserts in the handle which i like, AND a hole to open! Junglee is a liner lock, haven't handled one yet, I've read it locks up fine and is quite nice. Oh yeah, Marty, it has no hump. I think it's $39 plus shipping at Knife Outlet.....ANYONE?

I love the SS Pro Grip, even the hump, but, yes, it is perhaps a little too heavy for its size. Plus, I hate the clip, which chews up pants pockets like no tomorrow.

My ideal Pro Grip? VG10 blade, titanium (or aluminum w/steel liners) handle, Delica - style clip.

Anyone at Spyderco listening? (insert pleading smilie)

I want the Pro-grip FRN. I've seen the Junglee stuff and it looks okay, but I'll get a Pro-grip.

So, Carlos and friends, as to our query about the VG-10 Pro-grip: When is it coming out?

correction: knifeworks has it listed online, but the stock ones are aus-8, and when they order new ones, they keep receiving aus8. I've tried, believe me.

I bought a SS Pro-grip with VG10 through Linda Glasshartt a few weeks ago. I don't know if she has the ltwt version. She doesn't have a website but you can reach her via e-mail at: GlassHartt@aol.com
I highly recommend her.

I just saw the 2002 Spyderco dealer's catalogue. It has the FRN Pro-grip as VG-10.
Yet, no answer from Spyderco as to our query.
Hmmmm.
