Have you ever bought a knife and then realized that you already own one? Either I am getting too old or I have too many knives. I was going through some knives and found a knife that is the same as one that I had recently purchased. Ooooppps! OK I guess I need to sell some knives or at least go over my record keeping spread sheet, so I know what the heck I have.

No, not with knives. But sometimes I find a bottle of whisky I forgot about

Several times, kinda. I've ended up with two red SAK Farmers and Huntsmen, Buck 102 and 303s, LM Micras due to lag on Amazon's behalf. Sold/gave away what I didn't need.

I have not done that with knives, but there are some knives that people have drifted away from buying and the manufacturer then quit making that were great designs. Forgotten but still great design types.

Not knives--but CD's ----I have a couple copy's from several artists thinking I had lost them or never bought them in the first place----I guess I just get busy sometimes.

I do this with deodorant and lemonade packets. Tea as well, I noticed we have a real surplus of tea...
Never knives though, I don't have THAT many and I strive to buy something a little different each time to experience as many blades as possible while on Earth.

Sort of, but kind of on purpose. Variations of Vic alox. Nice differences, but still too many.

Yep. I forget what I have when out and about and see a good deal on a knife only to find out I already own one when I get home.
