I'm sure all or most of you have heard of the fork making competition going on. I was wondering if anyone is going to try it with a BK-9?? Sounds like a decent challenge, especially if you plan to win. I may just try it, but probably will end up using the Bk-7 instead. IMO two many people are using their BK-2 or neckers, time to change it up a bit! -Josh.

Sounds tough. Not something I would want to try. I'd prefer to use the right tool for the job... if I can ever find the time to give it a try. Let's see what you got!

Sorry man I was watching a movie. I did mine with the Nine. Not completely done yet. This monster knife impresses me, the only thing I find hard to do is cutting with the tip where I need to apply pressure on the false edge. It's pretty thin and is uncomfortable to use that way.

I have thought about grinding that false back edge down some to where it is thicker. It eats batons like crazy! If I ever go crazy and strip the knife and grind the thumb ramp off I will do this for sure.

Try a BK-9HH. When batoning, you get to cut wood on both sides of the blade. :D
Nice work on that fork so far!

I'll be using a 9. I accepted the challenge, and for now it's my only Becker.

It's really not too bad, I just had to get used to not using the handle to hold the knife. I had to get creative in a way I wouldn't cut myself again.

Sentra? :D I know it was already said, but I'm glad I'm not the only one that gets pretty comfortable in my car!

That's awesome carving in the truck while the toddler sleeps. I've got a two year old boy I understand the importance of naps and keeping quite while he is catching zzzzs. I wonder how many knives I could buy with all the wasted gas my hemi dodge drinks while my little man sleeps?

Hey Everybody......

If nothing else this should teach all of us that learning the skills of making something small with a large knife should be learned close to an emergency room....You can do it, but doing it without dings is NOT easy...........

Nice work on your fork Fal'er.....It is coming right along.....

Have fun.....

All Best....
