Formatting & Link Problems

I prepare a post in the trade subforums ahead of time as a Word document. When I then cut and paste into the "Post thread" box, it changes my formatting---a lot. For example, it changes the spacing; if I have a few words underlined, it will underline the whole paragraph; and it removes any numbering.

Also, I have trouble with links. I'll include a link in my post and after posting I'll check it just to make sure it's working. Then a couple of days later, if I check it again it's often screwed up---it'll take me to the page with a list of subforums rather than the page I was originally linking to.

Are there easy fixes for these issues? I may be missing something obvious but if so, I don't know what it is.

Thanks for any help.

Andrew

Doing it in word is messing with the XML used by the forums. Best bet is to do it in notepad then paste it and apply your formatting once it's in the WYSIWYG window
