When I saw Busse Battle Mistress in late nineties, it was love at first sight. It was Cliffs review of SHBM that blown me away and when CGFBM has appeared, I knew, that I couldn’t resist. But it took many years till dream come true. Finally, three years ago, I bought CGFBM in Cerakote Bronze finish, than NMFBM, BGFBM and now Forsaken BM beast.
I have to say I love all my Busse Blades, but BM was always something special. The design and feeling of this knife is unique.
Here is some short comparison between Forsaken BM and CGFBM sisters.
I would not waste the time with detailed technical comparison - FM is just longer, heavier blade. Both knives are very well balanced in hand. They feel light and quick as the true bowie knives have to.
BMs have nice profiled blades so cutting is just fun. Of course, they are not typical kitchen knives, but they work nice.
They can be also used for another types of light and detailed work, such as feather sticks.
When it comes to chopping, well, it’s their playground. Both have enough heft to do all the hard work. I was little surprised, that FM outchopped CGFBM, but there wasn’t much significant difference.
It was easy to chop a huge pile of seasoned sticks with FM.
Also splitting was a piece of cake with both knives. When you swing the FM It’s full of elegance but really deadly - it has a true brutal destructive power.
Fusion handles are very comfortable and they are my favorite. No hot spots, no slipping, enough space for my medium sized hands.
After all the work both blades were still shaving sharp and after few strokes on DMT, they were super sharp as if they just came from the hands of Beef. ;-)
Both knives are also very pointy and have a lot of stabbing power.
CGFBM will be still my number one general outdoor & camping knife - it is more compact/comfortable to carry and has capability to do anything.
The FM is a beast and a short sword. Super durable knife which can destroy a tank. If I would ever needed to go through the Cursed land I will choose this blade. It is still very versatile knife although it’s heavy and really big.
I like both blades and if I would choose only one it will be very hard decision. To have both is the best option - CGFBM on the belt and FM in a camp.

So, guys, I hope you have enjoyed pictures so as some points of my comparison. Sorry if there are some grammar mistakes, I’m not native English speaker. Thanks for watching! And let’s drink!
