After seeing some of Dana's work here on the forums, I decided to pull the trigger on a Fort Turner Iroquois hawk. This is going to be a very sharp Christmas :D Anyone else got pics of their FT hawks that they wanna share?

I'm sorry you've had a poor experience with Fort Turner, but you also have to keep in mind that individual smiths like this can sometimes be a week, a month, or (in Randall Made's case) even a couple years behind on orders. As for me, I think I'll just have to be patient then, it seems worth the wait. Have you tried contacting him?

Wolf, did you the work on the haft yourself? It looks beautiful. This hawk is actually going to replace my hatchet, but I don't know if I'll be able to use it if I doll it up like you did :o

BigLebowski65, that's a real shame. I hope this gets resolved, but I guess there is always some uncertainty with handmade goods. I agree that a lack of communication is quite unprofessional but hey, what can you do?

Nice, where did you get the brass tacks for the haft?

Great looking hawks Pass CDN. Thanks for the pics

I had a chance to speak with Dana on the phone. He is a stand up guy, and a very pleasant person to talk to; cleared everything up.

I'll post a pic of my Norseman when it gets here.

Great to hear everything got cleared up. Can't wait to see the Norseman!

Galloped back from the post office, happy as a clam. Thanks, Dana.

I was going to use this hawk as a Christmas gift for a close friend, but after holding this thing in my hand I think a gift certificate will do:

Oh damn, I love the pointiness of that one!

Is that custom with the hammer poll,or does he offer them as a standard option now?
